چکیده
According to a Canadian government database, landslides are the most common type of disaster that occurs in province British Columbia. Recently there has been trend Columbia toward using quantitative risk assessments estimate life-loss at landslide hazard sites, and compare these estimates with tolerance thresholds determine necessity for, extent of, management measures. These often calibrated by so-called ‘expert judgment’ because historical fatality data not readily available. This article addresses this gap summarizing available better inform expert judgment. It shows fatalities caused rare (approximately one per year last decade) have decreased time despite rapid population growth. Approximately half decade related debris flows floods impact houses, whereas other rockfalls, flows, highways. A comparison types government’s database suggests that, while particularly deadly, still important economic damage service disruptions they cause. Although specific Columbia, methods for identifying presenting trends could be modified adopted world regions where collected utilized.

To determine whether particular environmental, medical, or behavioral risk factors existed among Cryptcoccus gattii-infected persons compared with the general population, we conducted a sex-matched case-control study on a subset of case-patients in British Columbia (1999-2001). Exposures and underlying medical conditions among all case-patients (1999-2007) were also compared with results of pro...

Findings regarding cancer risk in people with multiple sclerosis have been inconsistent and few studies have explored the possibility of diagnostic neglect. The influence of a relapsing-onset versus primary progressive course on cancer risk is unknown. We examined cancer risk and tumour size at diagnosis in a cohort of patients with multiple sclerosis compared to the general population and we e...
